Calculate Db (power of the connexion) of the remote device.

Hi,

I like to know if with WCL can calculate (or obtain) in the inquiry the level of Power of the radio conexion (normaly in Db).

ONLY for the Microsoft Stack in Windows XP/vista.....
(In Linux is more easy, but in Windows is more complicated...)

Can you say something about this question?

It is impossble for MS stack and removed from WCL for other stacks.

Can I ask Why?   

For us is more important: We make applications of Proximity marketing.

The theme is clear: The module can be realizated this operation. It?s  the MS stack the problem, if the guys of MS make the API function I think can be possible. Other Way is end HCI commands to the module (from MS stack)....

You are correct. MS API does not have such function. Unfortunately it does not have any way to send HCI command to target device without written filter driver. I don't think that I can spend hours or days of work to do it possible with MS.

Regarding why it was removed for other supported stacks - because it does not give usefull information. The RSSI information is very unprecission. It hard depends on dongle on target device on where and how it is located. So I decided to remove that from WCL temporary. May be some day I'll add it back if cind it useful or find the way to make it useful.
