Create a wi-fi hotspot

Is it possible to create a wi-fi hot spot? I know it can be done using windows itself, but we're looking for a way to make it easy for our users to connect an iPad to windows to transfer data without a cable. Ideally, we could create a hidden wi-fi with a known name/password so the iPad software can connect to it and then communicate with the software running on the PC.

Unfortunately WCL does not support such feature currently but probably we can add it.

Thanks, if you do this in the next month then just reply here and I'll come back and have another look (we'd buy it just for this function unless we find another way in the meantime). I already looked at the demo and couldn't see how to so that makes sense.

Has this been considered? I know it's been longer than a month, but I have created the iOS app and now need to get this bit working via Delphi so it's easy for our users so need to find a way to do it now.

If not, would your bluetooth functionality allow me to do what I need? I simply need the iOS device to connect to a specific IP address so our delphi software running on the PC can accept and reply to the device in the same way it would if both devices were connected to the same network.

Is there anything in now for this?I noticed on your home page in the WiFi section it says "create WiFi network and other things", but have downloaded the demo and had a look and can't see anything, including in the doc.

We are working on this matter as promised. Howeever it takes more thime than we expected because there are lot of problems to get it working with standard MS API.

If you do get anywhere with this, or you want someone to try it (we have a lot of users with a wide variety of laptops), just let me know.

For now, we've got it [mostly] working by just using netsh to start and stop the hosted network.

The version with this update will be available after New Year. It is ready for release but now we are busy with updating our servers and sites.

No, this version was released just because of critical bug fixed. The comming one (will be available closer to February) should include this feature.
