Should i register the wcl dlls?
« on: July 22, 2008, 06:01:25 PM »
Hello again!
I wanted to test my application which i develop on a new PC.It uses Bluetooth with a BT Dongle (Microsoft stack).
When i installed it on my laptop(without the WCL DEMO) i got an error about a dll(i found that it was wclnet). The dlls "wclnet.dll" and Interop.WCLX.dll are included in the app.path.Right after that i installed WCL demo and it workred!
Should i register my dlls before using the app?
Note that i use Microsoft stack for my dongle. To avoid posting again, what steps should i take with widcomm drivers.
Thanks a lot!

The wclnet.dll and Interop.WCLX.dll should not be registered. It is enought to place it in the same folder together with you application. But you should also redestribute and register wclx.dll (regsvr32 wclx.dll)

For widcomm you also need wcl2btw.dll and vcredist (for X86 http://www.bluexpand.com/files/vcredist_x86.exe).
